UK Information for EYPC 2015

The following information specifically applies to those attending the conference from the UK and Ireland. Please carefully read the general announcements in addition to these points:

Upper Range

Those who have completed the first year of university or equivalent have the following options:

  1. Last year to attend as a young person
  2. First year to attend as a helper either as:
    1. A helper with Junior group
    2. A practical serving one

Serving Ones and Helpers

All serving ones and helpers from the UK are subject to approval from the UK coordinating brothers and are required to:

  • Be a pattern to the young people, including keeping all the regulations
  • Possess a valid DBS or CRB to serve with young people
  • Attend a UK serving ones orientation Lord’s Day July 26th at 2pm in Poland
New (First Time) Serving Ones and Helpers

In addition to the above, those attending for the first time as a serving one or helper are required to:

  • Read through “How to Lead the Young People”
  • Write what they have enjoyed from this booklet and why they would like to serve
  • Attend the morning coordination meetings during the conference
  • Be clustered together with more experienced serving ones
Ratios of Serving Ones

There must be one serving one for every three young people attending. This means that those coming from the UK and Ireland may need to coordinate and blend in their clusters to cover this ratio.

Travel Dates and Arrangements

Due to the limited numbers of flights and increase in prices, this year we have added the possibility of arriving a day earlier. In order to take care of transport arrangements to the conference, please book your flights according to the following guidelines:

ARRIVALS in Krakow (KRK)

Saturday 25th of July

  • Arriving in Krakow before 6pm – can take coach to Małe Ciche
  • Arriving in Krakow after 6pm – *stay in Krakow and catch a coach Lord’s Day

Lord’s Day 26th of July

  • Arriving before 2pm – can take coach to Małe Ciche

* There is a reasonably priced university dormitory we have used in previous years called Hotel Studencki “Piast”, rooms can be booked at their website: http://www.hotelestudenckie.pl

DEPARTURES from Krakow (KRK)

Saturday 1st of August

  • Departing after 5pm

Lord’s Day 2nd of August

Please coordinate your flights with the saints in your cluster. No young people will be allowed to arrive the day early on the 25th or remain a day later on the 2nd of August without accompanying serving adults.

We strongly suggest that you do not make any travel plans for the conference until you receive the confirmation that you have been accepted.

Extra Day Before and After

We recommend that saints from the UK arrive a day early before the conference on Saturday 25th July and remain an extra night, returning on Lord’s Day 2nd  August.

On the Saturday afternoon after the conference, along with the saints from the US and some other countries, there will be a trip to the nearby town of Zakopane for a gospel time and sightseeing, followed by an overflow meeting in the evening. For those flying on Lord’s Day, attendance at these activities is not optional as the conference regulations will still apply – it will still be necessary therefore to maintain the ratio of one serving adult for every three young people participating.

Payment for the extra days must be made as a part of registration. To cover meals and snacks on the excursion each person will need to bring approximately £10 in addition to the above costs.

UK Fellowship Regarding the Next Generation and Pre-Poland Conference Preparation

We would like to warmly invite you to join us for a one-day time of fellowship for the parents, serving ones and burdened saints labouring with the children, young people and university students including the university students themselves.

This will be our second year to have this time to strengthen our realisation that the work with the next generation is one field, one labour and has the unique goal of building up the church as the Body of Christ. We will be spending this time together to review the “Next Generation” fellowship given after the recent ITERO and consider how to go forwards over the coming year.

We will also have a time specifically to prepare for the upcoming Poland Conference and we recommend that everyone who will serve with the young people during the Poland Conference would come to this time.

Child care will only be available informally with the parents helping out with the children for one session each.

UK Fellowship Regarding the Next Generation

Dear Saints:

We would like to warmly invite you to join us for a one-day time of fellowship for the parents, serving ones and burdened saints labouring with the children, young people and university students including the university students themselves. We have been very touched recently to see that the work with the next generation is one field, one labour and has the unique goal of building up the church as the Body of Christ. The pillars of such a work are therefore the same 4 pillars we have been enjoying for the building of the Church – Truth, Life, the Church and the Gospel.

We will be spending this time together to review the “Next Generation” fellowship given after the recent ITERO and consider how to go forwards over the coming year. We will also have a time specifically to prepare for the upcoming Poland Conference.

We recommend that everyone who will serve with the young people during the Poland Conference would come to this time.

Child care will only be available informally with the parents helping out with the children for one session each.

When: Saturday July 20th

Announcing: the European Young People’s Conference 2013

Summer 2013 European Young People's Conference in Poland

We are pleased to announce the 19th European Young People’s Conference in Poland. The conference will take place in Male Ciche, as in previous years, and will last for six days, from Lord’s Day July 28th to Saturday August 3rd 2013.

Read more here.

Young People Poland Conference 2012

This year’s Young People’s Poland Conference – the 2012 Poland Camp – has its registration open now!

The registration for the 2012 Poland camp is now open – the deadline May 20th 2012.

Please go to www.ypconference.eu for further information and registration.

The main flights we recommend which will have a good number of serving ones travelling with it and which will arrive and depart in time to coincide with the coaches from Krakow airport to the conference are:

Flights from London to Krakow on Lord’s Day 29th July:

  • 6:10 Ryanair from Stansted (currently £45.99)
  • 10:10 Easyjet from Gatwick (currently £86.99)

Flights from Krakow to London on Saturday 4 August:

  • 21:55 Ryanair to Stansted (currently £55.37)
  • 16:45 Easyjet to Gatwick (currently £91.99)
If booking a Ryanair flight for a young person under the age of 16

The easiest thing to do is to book them through the same reservation as an accompanying adult. If this is not possible, Ryanair have requested that we book them as an adult (i.e do not tick the under 16 question) and then phone Ryanair with the reservation number and passport details of the child and an adult who is flying on the same flight. If you do not know an adult who is travelling on that flight please email the passport and reservation details to us at ypconf@ukypw.org and we will arrange it for you. You can download the waiver form which needs to be signed by the parents and sent with the young person in case of any difficulties at the airport.

Other flights are available and may be more convenient from your locality/district but you should be sure that your arrival and departure coincide with the organised Krakow-to-conference coach for the sake of your enjoyment of the conference and to care for the transport serving saints in Poland. The flight should not arrive at Krakow later than 2pm on the 29th of July or fly out of Krakow earlier than 4.30pm on the 4th of August.

Do not purchase your flights until you have registered and your registration has been approved

We will send out more information closer to the time about travelling together to the conference and what to bring.

The European Young People’s Conference 2009

General Subject: The Testimony of Jesus

The banners of the conference:

Christ is the Witness of God, the testimony and expression of God,
and the church is the testimony and expression of Christ,
the reproduction of the testimony and expression of God in Christ.
If we would be the testimony of Jesus—the corporate expression of Christ in the church life—we need to be today’s “family of Noah” building the corporate Christ as the ark that will deliver us from the crooked and perverted generation and usher us into the coming age of the kingdom of God.
We need to have the revelation and experience of the testimony of Jesus revealed in the book of Revelation until we are transformed into precious stones; through the process of transformation we will become the New Jerusalem as the ultimate testimony of Jesus.
We all need to know what age we are in,
what the present revelation is from God, where we should be,
what we should do, and what flow we should enter into
and have an upper room consecration to turn the age.
